SUMMER TO-DO LIST!!!

as i was emptying out my room to switch rooms with my sister, i came across my "to-do list" that i made earlier this year, which i was planning to complete during the summer. of course, i did not complete even half of it, as many of the ideas were ever so far-fetched. it is a large, poster sized sheet of pink construction paper, and has many ideas in a crossword puzzle-fashion written in blue marker. the title, "todolist:summer" is in big blue block letters, with only the t and the s colored in.

first things first

ok so first things first. i dont know what i am doing. i just felt creative, so there ya go. i am a teenage girl, not that that is any of your concern. but whatever. i am just a tad bit different from other girls. you may or may not like me, and who knows if anyone accepts me but all i ask for is respect. i live my life being inspired by nearly anything, and that bit of hope keeps me all right.

i am ever so happy to say that i have realized the secret to being happy in life. and that secret is something that many people forget. it is comfort. in order to be happy, you must live your life according to what makes you feel comfortable. hang out with people that make you feel comfortable. do things that make you feel comfortable. go places that make you feel comfortable. that is the secret, plain and simple. and if ever, and ever means anything, makes you feel uncomfortable, stop. not only should you stop, but also say stop. say it out loud. tell yourself "stop. this is not making my life any better, and i do not need this."

however, sometimes you won't have a choice. sometimes, you are forced or tricked into things that make you feel uncomfortable. and in these circumstances, that is when you need a medium. something that distracts you from your physical or emotional pain. a medium could be most anything. it could be a song, a movie, a big fluffy pillow, even a friend to talk to. you can also have more than one medium. i have several!

and that is the secret to happiness.
